Engine Room Log
The Engine Room Log is the daily engineering sheet: tank soundings, generator readings, hydraulics, electrical and running hours. Hours entered here update the Equipment register, and only ever upwards.
Key capabilities
What it does
- Tank soundings: fuel total, day tank and each fuel tank, black / grey, clean and waste lube oil, fresh water
- Port and starboard generator readings: hours, coolant temperature, LO pressure and temperature, kW, frequency, volts, RPM
- Main, passerelle and steering hydraulic level checks
- Running hours, next service and oil added per machine; shore power, busbars, batteries, watermakers and air conditioning
- Hours update Equipment only upwards; a lower reading is flagged as a likely typo, and a new machine is added to Equipment
- Readings feed the Maintenance Log and set hours-based tasks to Due or Overdue
- Filled in by talking to the AI Assistant, and each day's sheet exported as PDF

Anything it would change comes back as a card first. Nothing is saved until you press Approve.
Why it mattersThe engine room log is where the machinery's real condition is written down each day. Linking it to Equipment means planned maintenance runs on true running hours.
